What are hosted layers?

Layers are the basic elements of Dielmo Maps, designed to store different types of information. Each layer has a specific structure that suits its purpose and use within the platform.

Types of Hosted Layers

The hosted layers in Dielmo Maps are divided into two main categories based on their utility:

Inspection Layers

  • Photo Layers: Designed to work with standard images, allowing for annotation and visual analysis.
  • Photo_360 Layers: Adapted for 360-degree images, offering an immersive view for detailed and precise inspections.

Reference Layers

  • KML Layers: Allow the visualization and overlay of geospatial data stored in KML (Keyhole Markup Language) files.
  • Raster Layers: Used to display raster images, such as satellite maps and aerial photographs.
  • WMS Layers: Integrate Web Map Service, enabling the visualization of dynamic maps from remote servers.
  • Georeferenced_File Layers: Used to work with georeferenced files that contain spatial information linked to specific coordinates.

Each type of layer is tailored to different visualization, analysis, and inspection needs, providing great flexibility in managing and using geospatial information in Dielmo Maps.
